Your well-being, our ethical responsibility

At Number 1 Counselling Service, we are dedicated to providing professional and discreet counselling services tailored to your unique needs.
The first session will include a short assessment to see if a Person Centred and Therapeutic approach is the best fit for you. Here you can share the main difficulties you are facing. We will support you to identify your own therapy goals. We will go through the client-therapist agreement to set the boundaries, terms and conditions of the work.
We fully adhere to the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2026). As registered members with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), we are committed to upholding the core responsibilities: these responsibilities refer to the fundamental principles of good practice that form the foundation of a safe, trustworthy, and respectful professional service (BACP, 2026).

Coming soon.....helping professionals online programmes to help facilitate therapeutic well being support.

Helping professionals working with young people:

Recognising that our early years matter, we aim to deliver short specialised online information programmes designed for educators, youth workers, and care professionals dedicated to supporting the mental health of children and young people.

We start with knowledge building then move on to practical, therapeutic tools and evidence-based themes that empower you to design impactful wellbeing workshops or provide targeted one-to-one emotional support in educational and community settings.

Helping professionals working with the general public:

Nurses, Careers, Taxi drivers, Bar staff, Beauty technicians have all asked me how they can listen better to their clients/customers who clearly want to talk; often sharing their worries and fears.

Do you work with the general public and want to improve your listening skills? Have some conversations left you feeling worried about a persons mental health but you have been unsure what to do?

Learn how to listen to understand rather than to respond. Learn the important skill of using silence. Learn how to have brief mental health contact information to hand should your clients/ customers choose to reach out for urgent help.

Email us to join our 2027 short online programmes - let's help peoples mental health where ever they are!
